Round, teardrop or diamond: racket shapes explained

Padel Scout — 05 Jun 2026 — 6 Min. Lesezeit

What racket shape can tell you—and what it cannot.

Shape changes the starting point

Round rackets commonly concentrate the useful hitting area nearer the centre. Diamond models tend to move mass and the preferred contact point upward; teardrops sit between those tendencies.

Shape is not a guarantee. Foam, face material, frame construction and balance can make two similarly shaped rackets behave differently.

Filter, then verify

Use shape to narrow a large catalogue, not to make the final decision. Check weight, balance and hardness evidence next.

Padel Scout labels inferred facts and keeps conflicting records under review rather than presenting an uncertain shape as confirmed.
