Start with forgiveness
A generous sweet spot makes imperfect contact less costly. Round and lower-balance rackets are therefore a practical starting point for many developing players.
Choose for the game you play now. Power-oriented geometry only helps if you can position it consistently through a full match.
Read weight together with balance
Two rackets with the same listed weight can feel very different. A higher balance increases swing weight, while a handle-biased racket is usually easier to prepare.
