The 2026 racket index, explained

What our scores mean, how we test, and why the most expensive racket rarely wins on value.

A score needs context

We score control, power, comfort, and value separately because one total cannot describe who a racket suits. The overall number is a shortcut, not a verdict.

A power score of 95 is not inherently better than control at 92. It simply tells you where the design spends its performance budget.

The court test

Every racket is played from the back, in transition, at net, and overhead. We test both fresh and late in a session, when manoeuvrability and vibration become easier to judge.

Scores combine those sessions with construction, warranty, and current street price.
