Our editorial policy.

Independence

Rankings, scores and verdicts are set by the editorial process described on our method page. Retailers and brands cannot buy a better score, a higher position, or an Editor’s Pick badge. Commercial relationships are managed separately from editorial decisions, by design.

No paid rankings

We do not accept payment, free products, or any other consideration in exchange for a review, a score, or placement in a list. Every published product is scored against the same criteria, whether or not we have a commercial relationship with the retailer.

Review authenticity

Owner reviews we aggregate must come from a verified purchase at the source. We run duplicate and burst detection before a batch of reviews is folded into a score, to catch coordinated or repeated submissions.

No dark patterns

We do not use fake countdown timers, manufactured scarcity (“only 2 left”) without a live stock count behind it, or pre-ticked consent boxes. If a claim appears on the site, a real, checkable number backs it up.

Author attribution

Every guide and long-form verdict names the editor responsible for it. If you disagree with a call, you know who made it and how to reach them.

Corrections

Found something wrong? Price and specification corrections are actioned within 24 hours of a verified report. Editorial errors in a verdict or guide are corrected with a visible update note rather than a silent edit.

How this is funded

Padel Scout earns a commission when you buy through some retailer links. It never changes your price, and it never changes a score or a ranking.
